Re: Uranium in Drinking Water.

Do's and Dont's of drinking water contaminated with Uranium.

People Should Not drink the water even after boiling because boiling does not get rid of Uranium.  Bottled water should be used.

People Should Not cook thier food with tap water, as cooking will not eliminate Uranium from the water used to cook such food as soups and stews.  People should not prepare juices such as Cool Aid or other similar powder based juices with tap water.  Bottled Water should be used.

People can wash themselves in the shower or bathtub, as long as they dont drink the water.

Household cleaning, laundry can also be done safely using tap water.

Flushing the toilets, washing hands can also be done safely.
