Keewaaywin First Nation

Its that time of the year again when December is around the corner, Feast and activities will be posted up on the bulletin boards again. The band office, Health, School and the other programs will be holding thier annual Dinners and Band members will be having their feasts all thru the  months so look out for that and will have someone put it on our keewaywin happenings when i get it going.

New Airline comes to Keewaywin

Adventure Air will be flying into Keewaywin twice a day all week except Saturdays. There are different fares for this service.

Cash fares are 235.00 one way and charge fares (band P.Os, clinic travel warrants etc) will cost 385.00 one way. freight is 1.00 per pound, envelopes 12 bucks and pick up and deliveries into the city and to the airport 35.00 bucks. Charters also available depends on the kinda of aircraft u want to use. a 6 seater or a nine seater.

Keewaywin becomes partners in Wasaya Airways

Keewaywin officially became partners with the wasaya Group INC. They will be joining Bearskin lake, Kasabonika Lake, Kingfisher Lake, Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug, Nibinamik, Wapekeka, Wunnumin Lake, Muskrat Dam and Pikangikum First Nation. Keewaywin will be the tenth shareholding community. Chief Joe Meekis presents a cheque to Wasaya Airways.
