The Keewaywin winter road has now opened and people has been coming in and out  of our community. At first a one way lane was built to accommodate the early arrivals and now they are widening the road.

This winter road will benefit our community greatly as it will bring in supplies of building materials, new houses, vehicles, fuel and food. All this means cheaper food products, cheaper fuel, and a way to visit and travel to towns.

There will be security check points along the way so people coming in from town  all vehicles will be stopped and checked for drugs and alcohol and will be confiscated. Please be cooperative as this will insure the safety of all our community members.

When traveling make sure you take bundles of clothing and always tell someone that you are leaving or coming in. Have a very safe travel.
